Permission slips are usually for Off-Campus Events.  Do you think guests should fill one out at On-Campus Events for insurance purposes or just a Student Info Card?

A quick note from our youth minister:

Now is an exciting time to be involved in the youth at Dawson.  As the new youth pastor, I believe it's important for youth to have ownership in their group, because if it's something their proud of, it's something they'll want to invite their friends to.  If it weren't for them, my job wouldn't exist.  After all, I'm just a simple guy with a passion for God and seeing youth come to know, live, own, and share their faith in Jesus.  I also like to have alot of fun in the process, so if any of that appeals to you, come and join us.  We meet in the picnic shelter across the parking lot from the church.  We just moved in there so were still getting things settled, but we would love to have you settle in along with us.  Come and experience a C.L.O.S.E. (Christians Living Out Servanthood Evangelism) Encounter of the AREA 54 kind!  We usually meet at 5:00pm on Sunday nights for praise band practice and games before our 6:00pm church service and on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm for youth worship.

                                                                   God's love be with you,
                                                                   Mike Payton

The 2010 See You at the Pole™ theme is Reveal based on the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6:9–13.

The Message Bible states the Lord’s Prayer like this:

With a God like this loving you, you can pray very simply. Like this: Our Father in heaven, Reveal who you are. Set the world right; Do what's best—as above, so below. Keep us alive with three square meals. Keep us forgiven with you and forgiving others. Keep us safe from ourselves and the Devil. You're in charge! You can do anything you want! You're ablaze in beauty! Yes. Yes. Yes.

For twenty years now, See You at the Pole™ has been about students leading out in prayer, asking God to reveal Who He is on campuses all over the United States and the world.

On Wednesday, September 22, at 7 a.m., GATHER at your school flagpole, PRAY for your school, friends, families, and world. ASK God to REVEAL Who He is to your campus. Pray for AWAKENING.

And Wednesday night help us celebrate by attending the SYATP rally at Walnut Memorial Baptist Church
